Whether your student wants to learn to act, sing, dance, draw, or paint, we've got the class for you! Our after school Classroom Series features a variety of one-hour to one-and-a-half-hour classes for ages five to eighteen that will help your young artist explore the world of the visual and performing arts.
Now in their second semester, Ms. Cathy's Creative Kids (ages 5-7) and Mr. Walter's Young Performers (ages 8-12) are ready to take to the stage and prove that they've got what it takes to entertain you.
Looking for a little fun while learning some dance technique? Try out our Musical Theatre Dance class for ages 10-18.
And after a successful semester exploring the world of #BestiesOnStage, SYAA on Tour (ages 12-18*) gets ready to tackle the world On The Silver Screen.
And now, we're adding two more exciting classes with two amazing teachers to the line-up! Ms. Karen Solomon will help students ages 8-12 explore the world of vocal performance in Young Singers, and Ms. Melanie Douthit will help youth develop their inner artist while drawing and painting in Art Explorers (ages 10-18).

Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts is please to partner with Little Mudita-Real Original Yoga Games Built Into a Program.
The Little Mudita program incorporates seven unique chakra inspired pillows that come in different shapes and colors which represent yoga exercises. Each pillow shape and color correspond to a different area of the body and specific poses to allow children to learn the poses by relating the pose to a shape. Some of the pillows are inserted with a scent, others with noise making objects, and a few with simple substances such as sand, or marbles for a different feel. The idea is to help children grasp the concept of yoga using the 5 senses, whether they are visual learners or not.
These yoga pillows make an ordinary yoga practice magical and exciting, bringing fun interactive poses to life! Kids love to learn and play which is why the Little Mudita™ program is perfect for school aged children.
This perfect addition to the SYAA classroom series adds a level of health and fitness awareness that we are excited to see incorporated into our program. Ready to join? Click here to be taken to our registration page.
